JAC is Just-a-Chance. the website is http://justachance.net/site/index.php. The event was not just for Richmond Hts, the players were nominated to play in the game based on their performance during their respective school seasons. Players who participated were TJ Steele, Nyreis Redding, Kory Pearson, Greg Alexander, Marcus Bagley, John Davis, Milan Barnes, Tyrez Shepard, Julio Stevens, Shean Gooden and many other top 8th and 7th grade boys and girls around NEO.

Today was the 1st ever middle school all star game at Richmond Hts HS presented by Just-a-Chance and Coach Rasul. It was a day filled with fun events and some of the best 7th and 8th grade girls and boys around. There were also special guest including Ahmad Crump from the Cavs and also Delonte West who arrived during the 8th grade game. All of the games were fun for the players and their families and friends. I want to thank Coach Rasul and Just-a-Chance for setting this up and making it a great, and fun day. I look forward for this next year and many years to come.

I attended the Chanel vs Luthran East game and i was impressed with alot of underclassman that played. Lutheren East lost the game but Junior Brian Burdine scored 12pts and was relentless attacking on offense. For Chanel they had quiet a few players that cuaght my eye. First sophmore point guard Tommie Williams played excellent defense from baseline to baseline and for the most part kept the game under control. he finished with 7 or 8pts but was a big factor in the win. Sophmore Damon Jones was one of the main offensive weapons for Chanel as he had an uncanny ability to get to the rim and flat out score. Lastly Junior Devonta Brooks was a beast on the glass and really kept Chanel in the game, he finished with 19pts. The Firebirds are a young team but dont be surprised if they make some noise in the regionals
